Complete Series    -    Fright of the Bumblebees    -    The Last Resort    -    Muzzled!    -    The Bogey Man

In a series that has more twists and turns than the chase for a Were-Rabbit Telltale once again did something completely different with this episode.

After an initial run-around as Gromit sorting out a few tricky puzzles the story really starts at the fair. All the different attractions, from the ‘Can you beat a chicken?’ noughts and crosses to the fortune teller, provide a different puzzle so there is a huge amount to explore. You can take it at your own pace and really just do what you want so this is the game side at the best it can be.

As the story progresses the plot heats up and you really must have your wits about you once the puzzles become more and more tricky. The final conclusion of the episode is really excellent and the most dramatic of the range so far.

You play almost the entire episode as Gromit, and as this dawned on me I worried that it might not work as well (as I say in the review of the series as a whole, the humour usually comes through best with Wallace because conversations can take place). However by the end I didn’t feel that it was any weaker for not playing as Wallace much - it didn’t feel at all out of balance either.

And special mention must go to Struan Rodgers playing Monty Muzzle. It’s a superb performance and certainly strong enough for a full episode. Having said that, I think out of the first three episodes this is the one that could best be transformed into an episode, with a few changes of course. Though, once again, all the cast are on top form throughout.

Once again this is a must-have for any self-respecting Wallace and Gromit fan, and the closing moments... You should buy it just for that! Honestly, it’s a gem - the look on his face...!
