Mr Gabberly never seems to leave his home, situated over the shop that his wife runs in the town centre off West Wallaby Street.
Miserable and moody he dislikes everyone and anyone and doesn’t trust a soul - hurling insults out of the upstairs window.
Only once did he swallow his pride and apologise for being rude to someone, though this was cut short by the attack of giant bumblebees. [1]
