Owners of iPhones and iPod Touches reading this site most likely have an Aardman film or two, plus a few soundtracks, on them (…or days worth of Aardman films if you’re like me!) but there’s always been a great lack of Aardman in the fast-growing world of Apps. Until now.
Titan Publishing have reprinted four comic strips originally presented in the ‘Wallace and Gromit Comic’ as Apps, with readers moving from frame to frame by pulling their finger along the screen.
'Where there's Muck there's Brass', 'Parts and Labour' and 'Big in Japan' are each 59p, while ‘The W Files’ is available for free! Click any of those names to read reviews of the individual comics in our collectables and toys section. 'The W Files' has sprung to the No. 1 free book App!
Wallace & Gromit digital comic editor (and former editor of some ‘Wallace and Gromit Comic’ issues) Ned Hartley commented: “It’s really exciting to see Wallace and Gromit at the forefront of such a cracking new technology. Although I secretly suspect that Wallace would be more comfortable with the type of apple that comes with cheese.”
For any fan with an iPhone or iPod Touch these are no-brain purchases, they are definitely worth the 59p each. And the good news is that you can expect more comics over the coming weeks... More on that as it comes
As if that wasn’t enough Titan have opened a Facebook page for fans as well, which you can find here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Wallace-and-Gromit-Digital-Comic/313665180555
You can find reviews of all comics in our redesigned merchandising section, or click the names above. To download the Apps use these links:
