There are loads of new pieces of Wallace and Gromit merchandise out at the moment, and we hope to feature them all here on the site very soon... For now here are some very quick updates:
ROYAL MAIL
You can’t have failed to notice that Royal Mail is featuring Wallace and Gromit on their Christmas stamps this year... And for collectors the treat is even greater, because there’s a whole host of merchandise to go with them! We hope to have it all featured here soon... so keep checking back!
Haynes, the publishers of the famous line of car books, are to provide a ‘guidebook’ to many of the fabulous inventions of Wallace and Gromit. From the Techno Trousers, through the Motorbike and past the Rocket, details will be given on how the contraptions ‘work’, and fans will be able to see inside the machines properly for the first time.
This is a book we will DEFINATELY be reviewing and talking about, so keep checking back!
HarperCollins has also released a ‘World of Invention’ companion book, which features many fantastic contraptions from around the world.
Pedigree Books Ltd is also producing a 2011 Annual.
WIRED
Wired Magazine is featuring Wallace and Gromit as their front-page stars, and explores the world of Aardman further inside the latest issue.
It all ties in with the launch of the UK WIRED App, and if you have an iPad make sure to get the App for interactive views of the Aardman Studios! We’ll be reviewing it properly shortly.
