Mr Crock has had a difficult life, made none the more easy by the fact that he now lives among vegetable mad people. He once owned a mushroom farm but unfortunately it burnt down. On top of that for the last 12 years he has come second in the Giant Vegetable Competition, so close yet so far away. [1]
He always enters himself as an applicant for chairman of the Vegetable Growers Committee, yet is always beaten by Mr Growbag (this year 25 - 1, he voted for himself!) [2]
He therefore abuses people with exclamations such as “you’ll all rot in Hell” and he also apparently drinks quite heavily too. [2b]
